Assessment Center

Assessment Center is known as the most efficient method of assessing professional skills, personality and potential of employees or candidates.

Assessment Center is used when:

  • selecting the best candidate for a vacancy from employees or applicants
  • assessing the employees' potential
  • planning the employees' professional development - selecting the most suitable training and career paths

In order to assess candidates objectively we use various techniques, such as:

  • psychological tests (lasting approximately 2-3,5 hours) which:
      • are recommended by the Polish Psychological Society,
      • test the predispositions essential in the working environment;

  • exercises and simulations (lasting approximately 3-4 hours) which:
      • reflect real life situations that are common on a particular position or in a particular industry,
      • give every candidate equal opportunity to present their abilities and skills,
      • are constructed on the basis of previously defined criteria,
      • enable assessors to observe and record candidates' behaviour - there are at least three assessors, and they discuss their opinions and the final evaluation after the session is finished,
      • involve 8 to 15 participants.

The benefits of using the method:

  • precise and objective information about employees' or candidates' potential, their strengths and weaknesses
  • effective planning of personnel training and career paths on the basis of the final evaluation
  • feedback for the assessed employees (including information on their strengths and weaknesses), which may be useful for them in planning their professional development

We produce a final report which includes information on the assessment criteria, their levels and final evaluation. We also produce individual reports for the assessment center participants. The information may be also put into a computer application PERSONNEL ADVISER© or an electronic database.
